The new EduTech partnership between Hyper Island and Talent Garden sees these two education providers dedicate their time and resources to helping individuals and companies tackle the challenges of an evolving world that’s constantly demanding change in order to keep up.
With Talent Garden becoming the majority owner of Hyper Island (54%), the partnership will focus on the digital skills gap that dominates the global labor market. The companies will build on the success of their own respected operations and jointly create programs and courses across Europe. Hyper Island and Talent Garden are already located in 20 locations across 10 European countries and have campuses that welcome a capacity of 20,000 students and professionals through their doors each year. Through Hyper Island’s subsidiaries in Singapore, the USA, and Brazil, the designer of learning experiences is also making its presence known in the growing Asian, and North and South American markets. Both Hyper Island and Talent Garden also have successful online businesses that deliver learning experiences around the world.
The global digital education market is forecast to grow from $8.4 billion in 2020 to $33.2 billion in 2025, making it one of the fastest growing sectors of the post-pandemic era. However, there’s a mismatch between the skills required by companies and the prevailing market situation. According to the study, The Future of Jobs 2020, up to 85 million jobs will be directly affected by how data is shared between humans and machines, while 97 million new jobs may emerge as early as 2025. Ultimately, companies will need to train up to 50% of their employees during the next few years.
Hyper Island and Talent Garden are both already qualified and established companies in the education sector, and are using this collaboration to powerfully address the current challenges in upskilling and reskilling.

Talent Garden formed in Italy in 2011 in the coworking sector, with a focus on networks and skills development, in addition to physical workplaces. Over the past six years, the company has grown significantly in the digital education market and provides services to students, professionals, and large European companies. Talent Garden is available in several important European markets such as Italy, France, Spain, Austria, Denmark, and Ireland.
Hyper Island and Talent Garden will jointly become a leading EduTech player in Europe with expected revenues in 2022 of EUR 50 million. 20,000 graduates will be expected to pass through each year, with 5,000 students placed in the labor market, with a placement rate of 98%, and more than 4,500 startups and digital innovators who will set up their workplaces on the group’s campuses. Hyper Island and Talent Garden, together, have about 250 employees in total as well as hundreds of closely collaborating speakers, supervisors, and trainers on three continents.

Talent Garden is subscribing to new shares in Hyper Island and will purchase some shares from existing shareholders. The deal will be completed in December and will mean that Talent Garden will own 54% of Hyper Island. The remaining 46% will continue to be owned by today’s main owners, including Fredrik Månsson, Patrik Salén, Mikael Ahlström,and Jonathan Briggs who is one of the founders of Hyper Island. The private equity fund, NEA Partners, which is run by Jacob Brögger and Erik Ekfeldt will sell its entire holding after being part of four successful years with Hyper Island.
